Ben's French Toast

Welcome back to the second blog post of the week. Today we be learning how to make French Toast.

The very first step that is you need to cut the bread into slices. We used french bread for our meal.

The second thing you need to do is mix together the milk & eggs. You can also add cinnamon, but our group decided not to.

The third step is to warm up a pan on the stove and dip the french bread in the egg mixture.

The final step is to put the bread in the hot pan. After a few minutes you flip the bread and wait until it is brown on both sides.

You can top the french toast with fruit or syrup and enjoy the meal!

Brownies

Hello again and welcome back to another blog post. Today we will be talking about how to make brownies.

We began by preheating the oven to 350 degrees and greasing the pan.

The first step is to add 1/4 cup of water.

The second step is to add 2/3 cup of oil to the brownie mix.

The third step is to add 2 eggs (though we accidentally did that first, but it still worked out)!

An finally we combine all of them to make the brownie mix.

But before you put the mix in the oven you have make sure that you get rid of the lumps of dry ingredients.

An then you put the brownie mix into a pan and put them in the oven.

An that's all we have for the day. I hope that you enjoyed this weeks food blog and that you have a nice day.

Today's host was Evan. We made fruit smoothies. First we added ice, bananas, and yogurt to a blender.
Next we added frozen strawberries and frozen rasberries.
Next we added milk.
Then we blended them for about 90 seconds or until everything is blended.

Jordan's Waffles

Hello, and welcome back to another blog post for Cooking class this week. Today we will be talking about making waffles. In order to make waffles you need the proper ingredients, and we will be breaking down the process for waffles using Bisquick mix.

The first step is that you need two cups of original Bisquick.

The second step is you need 1 1/3 cups milk.

On the third step you need two tbsp vegetable oil.

And finally you need one egg.

When you put everything together in your mixing bowl you start stirring it and you want to make sure that you get rid of the lumps. After you are done stirring the batter, you put it in a waffle iron for 3 or 4 minutes to cook. It's also important to spray the waffle iron with oil or cooking spray so that the waffles won't stick to the waffle iron.

And that's all there is to making the awesome waffles!

Here is a photo of Ben & Mr. Jordan eating Clementines and Jordan holding banana's that we ate.

Thank you for reading this blog and we hope that this makes you hungry.

Home made French fries

Today's host was Elliot. We made baked french fries. First we scrubbed and washed the potatoes.

Then we sliced the potatoes into wedges.

Next we washed off the potato slices to get rid of some of the starch.

Then we tossed them in olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Half way through cooking we flipped over the fries to the other side.

Here is the finished product! We baked them for 30-35 minutes at 450 degrees.

Pasta

This week, Travis was the host and we made chicken pasta. First you chop the onion and boil the water.

Then you saute the canned chicken and onion.

Next, you put the cream of chicken soup in with milk. The last thing we added to the sauce was the tomatoes.

Then you cook the pasta following the directions on the box. After they are done, you strain the pasta.

The last step is adding the chicken sauce to the cooked pasta! Unfortunately, we were so excited to eat that we forgot to take a picture of the finished product. It was delicious.

Cookies

This week the host of baking lab is Evan. We made chocolate chip cookies.  To make the cookies you first take a cup of butter and a cup of white sugar and add them to a large bowl. Then add two eggs. Add them one at a time.

Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Add baking soda, hot water, and half a teaspoon of salt. Lastly, we added three cups of flour and two cups of chocolate chips. Mix it all up.
Then we scooped dough onto a greased cookie sheet.
Cook it for ten minutes. I was excited that we were making cookies and they tasted delicious!
