Chicken Pot Pie

Hello, and welcome back to another food blog with the UI REACH students. Today we will be talking about the Chicken Pot Pie that we had for Cooking Lab on Thursday. We started off with the ingredients of what we have and then looked over the list of steps for the recipes.

The first step that we did is start on the smash potatoes and start boiling the water.

The second step that we did is we put the chicken on a pan and put it in the oven.

The third step that we did is we took the frozen mix vegetables and put them in the microwave for a couple of minutes. Later we took them out when they are warm to eat.

The fourth step is that we took the chicken out of the oven and put the mixed vegetables and cream of chicken soup on top of them. Then we put biscuits mix on top and put it in the oven.

With all that hard work we finally got to eat the Chicken Pot Pie and it was good.

Recipe

  • 1 2/3 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 cup cut up cooked chicken
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup Bisquick mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg

  1. Heat oven to 400. In an ungreased pan stir vegetables, chicken, and soup.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir remaining ingredients until blended. Pour into pan.
  3. Bake uncovered about 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

Thank you for reading this blog and that we hope you enjoy our food blogs and those that are coming in the far future.
