Old Capitol Museum

Hello all welcome back to this amazing new blog post!!! Yesterday we had a fantastic day volunteering. We volunteered at the Old Capitol Museum. We colored, cut, and glued things together for the Halloween Creepy Campus Crawl. The Creepy Crawl is for families to Trick-or-Treat in a safe place. The Creepy Crawl is going to be held October 24th 6:30 PM-8:30 PM. My favorite part was coloring the snakes and dots because they will help decorate the Old Capitol Museum for the Creepy Campus Crawl.

  2. This looks really fun. Did I ever tell you about my brief run in government? Well, you see, I was a sophomore in high school and I ran unopposed for student council class president. My campaign speech was very brief: "My name is Derek Rodgers and I will be your class president." The class voted an ugly green and gold (school colors) t-shirt, and, to make matters much much worse, decided to put some quote from the movie gladiator on the back. I had to wear that thing twice per month. I was not a popular guy to begin with, and then they made me wear that shirt twice per month. I wasn't making any new friends that year, let me tell you. Anyway, I learned throughout my tenure that being class president was really a ruse and that the guidance counselor Khaki (yes, her name was Khaki) was really in charge and the whole facade fell apart for me. In later years, I've been able to see the value in that. Who wants a bunch of dead beat high schoolers running things? Anyway, to make a long story short: this looks like a great activity.
